Mixed bag

The good, we use the unit at work to cool a relatively small computer room that has a very small exhaust fan(basically a bathroom fan) and no other source of cooling. We ran extra hose from the out of the unit to vent the hot air up above the ceiling into the return air of our house AC system so we're not just dumping hot air above the ceiling. That works well and the hose gets quite hot so you absolutely have to vent the hot air somehow. The unit is pretty quiet and it absolutely cools the room for us (about 120 square feet). Easy to use, we have a drip hose set up for the condensate but we've just got it in November so it's been quite cold so there really is no water in the air(northern california).The bad, the motor died 2 months after install. We had it done by an HVAC company(landlord requires) so we not only have the 1 year warranty from Movincool we get the reputation of our HVAC company. The distributor is sending us a rental replacement while they decide whether to just replace the motor or give us a whole new unit. So it appears we will be getting good service support. But obviously a motor dying in 2 months is a bit concerning so we'll see if this is just bad luck or a problem with this unit. We've been setting it at 68 degrees running the fan on the low setting but it's on 24/7.
