I bought this in October of 2012 to replace a Royal Sovereign unit that suddenly had a fan fall to pieces. This unit is a little noisier than the Royal (important as I am using it in a west facing master bedroom). The main thing I don't like about it is the output shoots out horizontally instead of upward. That's fine it you only want to cool your feet! We'll see how I feel after this summer.

timer works well. vents swing for wider coverage area.great value for the price. works as described. meet my expectations and would recommend to a friend.
